Cornerhold vs Rentvine for commercial property.

Rentvine is a modern system with an open API, AI agents and a connection for Claude and ChatGPT, built for residential property managers. Its site doesn't list CAM, NNN or other commercial lease features. If you manage commercial leases, here is how Cornerhold differs. Checked October 23, 2026, from public pages linked at the foot of the page.

Who each is built for
Rentvine
Residential property management companies. Rentvine calls itself trust accounting software for professional managers running growing residential portfolios, and new accounts start at 30 units.[1][2]
Cornerhold
Owners of commercial property and the firms that manage it for them: retail centers, offices, industrial and single-tenant net-leased buildings, on NNN, NN or modified gross leases. One building is enough to start.
Who should pick which

Built for a different buyer

Rentvine sells to property management companies: it prices per active unit managed, starts new accounts at 30 units plus a platform fee, and centers on trust accounting, leasing and screening for residential portfolios. That's a good fit for its market, and a different market from ours.[1][2]

What each one does for commercial leases.

The questions a commercial owner or manager asks, answered for both. "Not listed" means the company's public pages we read don't mention it, not that the product can't do it.

Where Rentvine is ahead.

  • Trust accounting and money movement

Rentvine's core is trust accounting, with ACH payments in and out. Cornerhold has no trust accounting and doesn't move money yet.[1][2]

  • A broader AI connection

Rentvine's MCP server gives Claude and ChatGPT 90+ tools and can do work beyond reading, with the books kept read only. Cornerhold's connector reads only. Rentvine announced it on October 22, 2026; its feature page still calls it a beta.[3][4]

  • An open API

Rentvine has a fully open API. Cornerhold has no public API.[2]

  • Residential workflows

Applications, screening, eSignatures, and owner and renter portals are all part of Rentvine. Cornerhold is built for commercial leases and its portals start on a higher plan.[2]

  • An app you can download

Rentvine's manager app is on the App Store. Cornerhold's iPhone app isn't released yet.[5]

Also not in Cornerhold yet

  • Live bank feeds. You import bank files (OFX, QFX or CSV) and reconcile them with suggested matches. There is no live connection to your bank yet.
  • A custom report builder. The standard reports (trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, rent roll, aging, owner statements) export to Excel, PDF and CSV, but you can't design your own yet.
  • QuickBooks Online sync. Live sync with QuickBooks Online is coming. Today you import QuickBooks Desktop or Online export files.

Where Cornerhold is ahead.

  • Commercial recoveries

Cornerhold bills and reconciles CAM, real estate tax and insurance under each lease, with caps, base years, gross-up and admin fees, and sends each tenant a statement with backup. Rentvine's site doesn't list CAM or NNN features.[1][2]

  • Commercial leases, read and cited

Cornerhold's two AI readers draft each commercial lease, including recoveries, options, co-tenancy and exclusives, with the page for each term. Rentvine's site doesn't list commercial lease abstraction.[1][2]

  • Owners as customers, from one building

Cornerhold works for an owner with one building. Rentvine is built for property management companies and starts at 30 units.[1][2]

Who should pick which one.

Rentvine is the better pick if

  • You run a residential property management company with 30 units or more.
  • You hold owner funds and need trust accounting with ACH in and out.
  • You want an open API, and an AI connection that can do work, not only read.
  • Your few commercial spaces have simple, flat CAM charges.

Cornerhold is the better pick if

  • Your leases are commercial, with CAM, tax and insurance recoveries to reconcile each year.
  • You want commercial lease terms read with their pages and checked by you.
  • You own the buildings yourself, or you manage commercial centers for owners.

Questions about Cornerhold and Rentvine

Is Rentvine a competitor to Cornerhold?

For residential property managers, not really: Rentvine is built for them and Cornerhold isn't. For commercial leases with CAM, Rentvine's site doesn't list the features, so the products rarely meet. They do share an approach: modern software, AI, and a way to use your data in ChatGPT and Claude.

Does Cornerhold have an MCP server like Rentvine's?

Yes, a narrower one. Cornerhold's connector works in ChatGPT, Claude and Grok, reads only, and leaves every change to people in Cornerhold. Rentvine's offers more tools and can change operational data.

Is Cornerhold new?

Yes. Cornerhold launched in October 2026, so it has no long customer track record or public reviews yet. Owner and Owner Plus start with 14 days free, without a card, so you can try it on your own leases before you decide.

Is there a Cornerhold mobile app?

The iPhone app is built but isn't on the App Store yet. Until it is, the website works on a phone.

What if I leave Cornerhold?

Owners and admins can export the whole organization at any time: every record as JSON and CSV, every stored file, and a README that explains each table. It works on every plan, even when the account is read-only.
