A commercial rent roll, ready to import.
One row per suite, leased or vacant: the tenant, area, lease dates, rent, the next increase and the deposit. The columns are the ones Cornerhold's importer reads, and the same file holds the commercial tenant list the City of Los Angeles asks landlords for.

The columns, one row per suite.
Each header is the importer's own name for the field, so the file maps itself when you bring it in. Dates as dates, amounts in dollars. The columns marked LA list make up the tenant list described below.

WALT and occupancy from the example rows.
Two measures lenders and buyers ask for, worked out from the template's three example suites.
Marigold Court, as of January 1, 2027
| Suite | Area | Annual rent | Years left |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100Tidewater Bakery LLC | 10,000 | $300,000 | 3.50 |
| 200Quillon Dental Group, Inc. | 6,000 | $198,000 | 1.25 |
| 300Vacant | 4,000 |
- WALT by rent
- 2.61 years
- WALT by area
- 2.66 years
- Occupancy
- 80%
Years left is the whole months from the as-of date to the day after the lease ends, divided by 12. A month-to-month or expired lease has none.
WALT by rent: multiply each lease's years left by its annual rent, add those up, and divide by the total annual rent ($498,000 here).
WALT by area: the same with square feet in place of rent, over the leased area (16,000 SF).
Occupancy: leased area over the property's area: 16,000 of 20,000 SF, with Suite 300 vacant.
The tenant list Los Angeles asks for.
The City of Los Angeles requires owners, lessors and sublessors of office or commercial space in the City to give its Office of Finance a list of their commercial tenants, with each tenant's name, full address including suite number, and telephone number (Ordinance 177216, amending Municipal Code 21.14).[1]
This template's Property address, Suite, Tenant and Tenant phone columns hold that list. Sort by property, and copy those columns out.
Bring it into Cornerhold without remapping.
- Replace the example rows with your suites, one row each, vacant ones included.
- In Cornerhold, open Import and drop in the file.
- The columns map themselves. Check the preview of every row, and fix or leave out any with a problem.
- Confirm. The import creates the properties, suites, tenants and leases, and shows exactly what it added.
Keep the headers as they are
The importer recognizes other wording too, but these exact headers need no mapping at all. Dates read best as dates, and amounts as plain numbers.
From this file to a rent roll kept from your leases.
Import this file and Cornerhold builds the properties, suites, tenants and leases from it. From then on the rent roll, expirations and WALT come from your leases, today or as of any date. A whole import can be undone while its period is open.
Questions about rent rolls
What is a commercial rent roll?
A list of every suite in a property with who leases it, the lease dates, the rent and the deposit, as of one date. Owners use it to track expirations and rent, and lenders and buyers ask for it.
What should a commercial rent roll include?
One row per suite, leased or vacant: the tenant, the area, the lease type, the start and end dates, the monthly and annual rent, rent per square foot, the next increase and when it starts, and the deposit. This template has a column for each.
How do I show a vacant suite?
Fill in the property, suite and area, and leave the tenant and the lease columns blank.
What is WALT?
The weighted average lease term: how many years of lease are left across a property, weighted by each lease's annual rent or by its area, so a large tenant counts for more than a small one.
Can I add my own columns?
Yes, after the last column. When you bring the file into Cornerhold, a column the importer doesn't recognize stays unmapped in the preview, and you choose what to do with it.
